A Poem

Energy flowing.
Ecstasy feelings growing.
Can't deny the vibe.
Gotta stop trying to hide.
So many emotions taking over,
You wouldn't believe I'm sober.

'Cause this is taking me in such a high,
cnd I can't stop it... hell I won't even try.
So many things on my mind.
Should I let go and get it to grind?

We keep taking it "one day at a time".
However it is obvious this is prime.
When I least expected I started losing control.
Going around in circles, life taking its toll.

That's when you realized what we've known all along:
Maybe it's moments like theses where all along we belonged?
Not wanting to give in and yet not wanting to hold back.
Standing on the edge and the floor is about to crack.

How will I know what's real and what's right?
Maybe that's what I gotta stop trying to fight.
Sometimes it's not all about "the right or wrong",
It's hard to ignore the voice that's getting so strong.

I share my struggle and you've had one thing to say:
"Whatever happens next, we'll be together someday".
I want to share that certainty with you,
For now all I have is a poem or two.
