I wish I had a time machine
For the day I was alone
Travel back a day in advance
And make sure I didn't scream down the phone
I wasn't in a good place
But that's something you already know
We both know that it won't cut it but

Why can't I
Travel back to the very start

Or if I travelled back and walked on past
To avoid starting something that couldn't last
But if I did that, what would it change
I'd meet someone else and make the same mistakes
