What goes flying through august clouds
Cut the golden sky
Lonely sound descends to her
Like a judgement pronounced upon her head

Drifting in the open space
Vessel without a sail
Planted on the barren shore
Beautiful and wild, full of sorrow

Mary Magdalene sets her feet upon the burning sand

Strokes her hair with idle hands
