They Call Me Ant

Anthony Donaghue

They call me ANT, cause I'm moving weight
Destined to be great, with a plate full of passion
Passing at a rapid rate, using poetry to elevate
As I concentrate on clarity
I'm turning thoughts to things
A song of birds, strong words, pulling at heart strings
I grew wings and hit the sky
Overcoming fear with the eye of an eagle
Dancing with desire, feeling regal

I'm the lord of the rings, seeing what the moment brings
Eternal experiences of alternating appearances
These words wave through the water
A current sea, creating currency for a daring daughter
Meek and modest, she's the oddest, let's be honest
The field is fair, there's no need to compare

Sitting in heaven, I stare at hell
The facades fell with the grace of a gazelle
As I sing another spell, it's death to doubt
Now that I doubt death, I'm blessed by every breath
Dedicated to detail, I will always prevail, huh

Giving and grateful, I will not pretend to be hateful
Making the best of what I got, so I triple what I brought
Giving thanks a lot, so thanks, a lot
It's not what you thought, huh, I'm hot, like the spot
But, I dropped the WiFi for a better connection
After years of reflection, I'm changing direction
I see my perception as a piece of perfection
Using inception to destroy deception, that's casual conception
Entertaining elevated energies educating entities

Take the helm, exploring an ethereal realm
Shots from the hip, while I steer the ship
Words in the magazine, dump the clip
Pills in the plastic, put my mom in a casket
Case closed, that's a basket, there's no way to mask it
I lived in a haze, smoking for days
It's just a phase, walk through the maze
I got the ways, by writing the plays
They make the waves, we are not slaves
Sharing stories of intelligence, telling tales with elegance
I'm not rapping for relevance, like these tap dancing elephants
I'm writing words of wisdom, from the womb to the tomb
There's a million ways to make a flower bloom

Let's talk about the elephant in the room
Relevant to your doom, all the drugs that you consume
Gone too soon, too high, like a lost balloon
I'm so low, flying solo, but I still glow, with a trill flow

Planted with a purpose, deep beneath the surface
Love needs to lead, light feeds the seed
There's a message in the streets
If the message is weaker than the beats, everyone competes
No one completes, a ring of elites
I'm King of the Streets, recycle defeats, till the cycle deletes
Or, the cycle repeats
I'm a psycho with beats, like Michael with feats

I might go and feast, with beauty, and the beast
Cause I'm on a mission, fishing for fascination
In a fascist nation, huh
You make a better wall than a window
I make a better window, it's apparent
I'm transparent, a parent across planes of existence
It's plain to see, pains of resistance
If your head is hurting, request assistance
Distance is a daring dance, damage done by avoiding chance
