Violence
Alexis Taylor
Violence would arrive on Mondays
Roses hand-picked on weekends
Solitude could bring no wonders
No wonder it would start again
Hemlock was brought home on Tuesday
Hysteria had withered away
Partners joined arms in the kitchen
Hysteria was welcome that way
Now there's no form of protection
There's no escape from today
Outside the norm of acceptance
Inside the world’s turned away
Violence would go unanswered
Anger its only friend
Silence would soon come after
Annoyance had died down again
