I caught him lying by the river to the day
As he rose to a stand kissing the gun in his hand
Won't take it easy cause he's half-assed in knowing
That liberation is rigged so he's got sod all to give

Time and time there's always something to see
Like their oppressive manifesto captivated his dreams
He thinks it's now he takes it down to the seams
Cause there's no clarity of knowing what is buried beneath

But he thumps to the floor raising his face to the saints
