Dishearten

Here dawns the sun of measureless content,
Tender restraint from a life fully spent.

Twilight, rich in hiding honest truth,
Ever bringing day as night.
Overwhelming our dying youth,
With it's sun obscuring light.

Restless landscapes of stunning grandeur,
Deny such light of falseness and impure.

True virtue hindered,
Set me high, on a towering pedestal,
Where my lustrous rain
Can be rich and fruitful.

Cursed be your very essence, and the fallacy from which it springs;
Faint impression of purpose, in vagueness bathing,
Despondency aplenty, piled high, foul and sickening,
Darkening the dirt around our hopelessness.

Elegant slaughter of our pride and honor,
Open your mouth, feast yourself sick,
For I shall come again, not as a man, but as a god,
To burn all adorned with such fake gallantry.

Better lay with me awhile,
Comforting my dulcet ache.
Dreaming of an honest smile,
Dreaming that you are awake.
