The Pledge

I often wonder
Where does a thought go when it’s forgotten?
Where do the feelings go when they’re torn down
If crying is for the faint of heart
Then I’m a coward
Forever dancing with self doubt
I don’t wanna fall in the same trap again

So I pledge to myself
To never look back on shattered memories
I’ve reached an all time low
No I don’t want to rest in self misery
I’m so fed up of falling down and down again
So damn fed up of giving up ahead of time again
